A self portrait in 44 words

Not yet old, but no longer young
I see the world in front and behind
Regretting mistakes and celebrating victories
Anticipating and fearing the future
Man of faith who struggles with doubt
Consistent and contradictory
Much to teach, but even more to learn.
Me.

  1. “both sides now”….isn’t that a partial line from a song? 😊 I love the juxtapositioning here throughout the poem. That’s life, right? How we juxtaposition ourselves next to people, places, events, challenges. You are very wise, my friend.

  2. I like this snapshot Bryan:

    Consistent and contradictory
Much to teach, but even more to learn.
    Me.

Happy to read that you are still open to learn in your journey. Write on!
