NaPoWriMo – Day 12: Slumber

When a long day comes to its final ending…
Sunlight fades and darkness envelopes us in
Blissful quiet. Starlight and moonlight let us
finally slumber

yesterday at, the prompt was to write a sapphic. Sapphics worked well, apparently, in Greek. However, it’s a dastardly difficult meter to master in English. Therefore, yesterday, I chose not to follow the prompt. Today the prompt was to write a descriptive paragraph and then eliminate all unnecessary words and pare it down to a poem. So naturally, I chose to write a sapphic instead

  1. How can you make it look so easy? That should be illegal! And to have it this beautiful as well… *sigh* Brilliant!
