the joys of travel
may still be exceeded by
the comfort of home

I wanted to write a grand poem for Abhra’s prompt at dVerse, but I ended up with some severe “poet’s block”, so I decided to go with a haiku instead.  I rarely get to travel, and I always love it…but there is also something grand about getting back to familiar places.

  1. I well remember those “beautiful trips” && it did not matter how far or near they were because coming home was the WOW part !! Carl & I called “driving down to watch the water & birds ” a trip 🙂

  2. very true! I just returned from a fun filled vacation, but there is nothing quite as refreshing as walking through your own front door.
