Shooting Star

My father-in-law passed away this past week, completely unexpectedly.  Needless to say, writing has been somewhat difficult since then, but I also need to get back into writing, as it is somewhat cathartic.  The current prompt at Carpe Diem Family is “shooting stars”.  Perhaps shooting stars can illustrate, more than anything else, the brevity of life.

  1. My condoleances for your loss Bryan … this response on “shooting stars” is (as Jen says) a nice tribute to your loved one … thank you for being here and that you have taken the time to respond despite of your grief … I wish you a lot of strenght to bear this sadness …

    Namaste

  2. oh, I definitely think your shooting star perfectly captures life’s brevity and the beauty of its existence while it’s lights up the lives of those it has passed through.
