I Catch The Sunrise

One of the regular features on Carpe Diem is a Tan Renga Challenge.  A Tan Renga begins with a haiku, and then is completed with a second stanza of two lines of (typically) 7 syllables each.  The haiku that we were given to work with was written by Ese of Ese’s Voice

This is my first attempt at a Tan Renga

great expectations

entangled in fishing line

i catch the sunrise  (Ese)


morning sun glints off ripples

the dawn’s golden promises (Bryan)
