First Snowflakes

At Carpe Diem, we have been asked to model a haiku after this one by Alexey Andreyev

first snowflakes!
I love them too much to think
they’ll melt by noon

(c) Alexey Andreyev

Living in Canada, I honestly can’t claim a great love for snow.  As a child, those first snowflakes were delightful.  As an adult, though, those first snowflakes make me think of shoveling, mind-numbing cold, and dangerous driving conditions.  Perhaps I need to re-gain a child-like appreciation of “the white stuff”, but I find that difficult to do.  Therefore, this is what I came up with:

first snowflakes!

fall serenely from the sky

much more to come
