I’ve decided to give the Trifecta Writing Challenge a try.  The weekend challenge this week is to write about summer using 33 words.  Here goes…

He was laughing

at fluffy clouds

while sitting on the edge of the dock

with his toes dangling in the water.

  1. I often wish I could teleport back in time to my childhood summers. Although we lived in a rundown place and there were fire ants and cockroaches the size of fire trucks, I still remember it fondly.

    • Thank you! I’m not sure that childhood was actually as idyllic as I like to remember it, but looking back through the lens of my experience, I had it pretty good!

    • Thank you for the warm welcome. I like the reference to “dipping my toes in”. Hadn’t thought of that.

  2. Welcome to Trifecta, Bryan! We’re always glad to see new faces. This is a pure, joyful piece about summer. Please continue writing and submitting to future challenges with your wonderful work! And thank you for linking up! Be sure to return for the voting!

Please Comment! Otherwise I won't know that you've been reading!
